FORT WORTH -- Rev. Willie Wayne Hunt, M.Div., died peacefully Tuesday morning, Feb. 12, 2013, during his 69th year. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3621 Tulsa Way. Family and friends will gather in the church's Fellowship Hall immediately after the service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Pastor Hunt's family suggests consideration of contributions to the Lutheran church's school in Sierra Leone. Willie was a graduate of Texas Lutheran University and Wartburg Theological Seminary. He served Texas parishes in Bandera, La Porte and Fort Worth. And, most recently at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Haltom City, where he served for 21 years. Willie will be remembered for his infectious laugh, warm hugs and his giving heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Hunt. Survivors: In addition to his wife of 45 years, Willie survived by his sons, Aaron and Jacob; Aaron's wife, Jennifer, and their children, Ember and Libby; his mother, Rose Billnitzer Hunt; brother, Craig Hunt and his wife, Kathy; their children, Kevin and his wife, Tiffany, Kassie and Kaitlyn; Eldor and Dorothy Eisen, Sandie Palmer, Suzie Salazar; other family members; and a host of friends.
