FORT WORTH -- Theresa Dean "Terri" Forbes Banasik, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, Feb. 21, 2013, with close family members by her side. Service: Mrs. Banasik's cremated remains will be placed in Llano Cemetery, Amarillo. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, her family respectfully suggests consideration of memorial contributions, in her name, to the Ronald McDonald House in Amarillo. A native Oklahoman, Terri moved to Amarillo in 1952 where her mother became a longtime respected teacher and principal. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and Amarillo College and married John Charles Banasik, also from Amarillo, soon after his graduation from Notre Dame University. Their loving marriage lasted 51 years before John's death in 2010. While in Amarillo, Mrs. Banasik was a member of the Junior League, the Symphony Guild and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. But most of all, she was a loving homemaker. After raising her children, some of her fondest memories were of working at Caryn's Hallmark as an enthusiastic sales representative. John and Terri retired to Fort Worth in 2000 to be near family. Besides being with family, some of her most enjoyable and meaningful time spent in Fort Worth were her seven years as a faithful student in Bible Study Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph and Frances Elizabeth Burns Forbes; her husband, John Charles Banasik; and brother, Joseph Burns Forbes. Survivors: In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Richard Craig, and their children, Hayden and Michelle, of Fort Worth, Terri is survived by her son, John Robert Banasik of Abilene. She also had several nieces, nephews and cousins, whom she adored. Robertson Mueller Harper Funerals & Cremations 1500 Eighth Ave., 817-924-4233
