Mr. STEVEN CHARLES RAY

Fort Worth, Texas - Steven Charles Ray passed away peacefully Sunday, May 30. He was 59. A Celebration of His Life will be held Saturday, June 19, in the Chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper with Mr. Mark Lucas Kelly, officiating. Born at Mildenhall Air Force Base in England, Steve was the son of Douglass Dean and Rose Marie Borchardt Ray. He was a graduate of Western Hills High School and was a successful salesman and avid outdoorsman. He had a daughter named Kristian in 1986 and his hunting buddy/son, Colton Ray in 1990. He adored his parents & sisters and remained close with them throughout his lifetime. He loved spending time hunting and fishing with his son, family, and friends. Steve loved his kids so much, and always kept them laughing. Steve married his soulmate, Christina Plenk, June 9, 2009. He loved her and the puppies they raised together, tremendously. They made beautiful memories together. Steve Ray was larger than life, and never made a quiet entrance to anywhere he went. When he walked into a room everyone noticed. Everyone knew Steve Ray, and if they didn’t… they wanted to. He made such a huge impact on so many people’s lives, and will always be fondly remembered for his humor and warmth, and for giving the best hugs on earth. Steve was a person we needed around, a lot longer than we had him. He reminded all of us how to enjoy life. Heaven just gained the funniest, mot exuberant angel it has ever seen. You can bet he made a very grand entrance…and everyone noticed. Steve was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 11 years Christina Plenk-Ray of Fort Worth; his son Colton and daughter Kristian Ray; his grandson, Charlie Ray ; his sisters, Jill Bosworth of Galveston, Deana Ray Capogreco and her husband Bob of Richland Hills, and Mary Collins of Fort Worth; his niece, Hannah Collins and nephews Darren Muirheid, Ryan Collins, and Nathan Collins.
