FORT WORTH -- Shirley Elaine Randol passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 6, 2015, at a Dallas hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Randol was 86 years old. Service: A memorial service is planned in 2016 in Franklin, N.C., where she will once again be united with her husband. Born Jan. 28, 1929, in Peoria, Ill., Shirley was the daughter of George and Leta Key. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Smith Tyler Randol, and her sister, Eleanor June Porritt of Marco Island, Fla. Shirley recently moved to Lakewood Village in Fort Worth from Franklin where she made many new friends. She had also lived in Rockford, Ill., for many years where she worked for Square D Electric before retiring in Bradenton, Fla. She enjoyed volunteering with the Southeastern Guide Dogs, Meals On Wheels and various church related activities. Shirley will be remembered for her smile and kind words to those she met. Survivors: Shirley will be greatly missed by her daughter, Beckey Crow and her husband, Archie, of Fort Worth; son, David Randol and his wife, Maura, of Boquete, Panama; and granddaughter, Courtney Zinckgraf and her husband, Bryce, of Jacksonville, Fla. We were blessed to have such a wonderful mother and grandmother, but know she is at peace.
