FORT WORTH -- Scott Nix met his Savior early Thursday morning, Dec. 17, 2015, after hosting his well known TCU sports interview show, KillerFrogs.com. He was 56 years old. A celebration of Scott's life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at AP Ranch, 1590 FM 2871, Fort Worth. You are encouraged to wear tailgate purple! Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family has requested to please dedicate gifts to Watermark Community Church, 3345 Winthrop Ave., Fort Worth, Texas, 76116. Scott was not only anchor, but part owner and founder of KillerFrogs.com. He most importantly was a gregarious, fun, loving husband, dad and follower of Jesus Christ. Scott was born in Dallas to Judy Cox and W.C. "Dub" Nix. He graduated from Garland High School in 1978 where his passion for football earned him a scholarship to play football at TCU for Coach F.A. Dry from 1978-1982. He was a proud letterman and watched his brothers play for TCU as well. His love for all things TCU sports was eclipsed only by his growing faith in Jesus Christ. Scott was instrumental in being a part of the core group that help gather friends to launch the Watermark Community Church that is growing rapidly in the renovated Ridglea Theatre in Fort Worth. He served in every way possible. Most important to Scott was that he became more like Christ and demonstrated Christ's love and care to those he had influence over. He was humble and understood his own imperfections even as he joyfully embraced God's forgiveness and leadership in his life. Because of Jesus, Scott wanted more than anything to love his wife and daughters well. He leaves a legacy of a man who was listening to a voice greater and wiser than himself. He leaves friends and family who love him and want to be as joyful as they saw Scott follow his Savior. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Kelly Kennimer Nix, Scott was father to Kameron Nix of Austin, Kalison Nix attending Biola University, and Whitney Wright attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; his parents, Judy Cox Teal and W.C. "Dub" Nix and his wife, Carolyn; siblings, W.C. Nix and his wife, Jennifer, Tammy Nix Adcock and her husband, Brad, and Preston Nix and his wife, Mary Beth, and their families.
