Mrs. SARAH ANN HART BOURLAND

FORT WORTH -- Sarah Ann Hart Bourland died peacefully Saturday morning, Jan. 4, 2014, during her 94th year. Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, 2700 McPherson Avenue, with the Rev. Dr. Frederick Field "Fritz" Ritsch III officiating. Her cremated remains will be placed with her husband in Woodbine Cemetery, Artesia, N.M. Born February 14, 1919, Sarah was the daughter of Frank Culver and Esther Emily Hart. She spent her childhood years in Carlsbad, N.M. before marrying Robert D. Bourland in 1936 and spending the rest of her life in Artesia, N.M. Sarah was a long-time Presbyterian, who loved gardening, reading, her family, and her church community. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters. Survivors: In addition to her son, Robert D. Bourland, Jr. and wife, Anne, Sarah is survived by three grandchildren, Jeff Bourland and wife, Karen, John Bourland and wife, Virginia, and Katy Ross and husband, Andy; and seven great-grandchildren.
