FORT WORTH -- Ann Megarity Burner passed away Friday morning, March 24, 2017. Mrs. Burner was 79. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3401 Bellaire Drive South, with The Rev. Carlye J. Hughes, rector of the church, officiating. Her cremated remains will be placed in the Hamilton Beeman Cemetery in Corsicana at a later date. Born Sara Ann Megarity on Feb. 20, 1938 in Trinidad, she graduated from Milby High School in Houston before working in the banking and financial industry for many years while raising her three children. Ann attended Trinity Episcopal Church for many years and loved singing in the Chancel Choir. She enjoyed playing bridge; making crafts; taking care of her canine companion, CoCo; and spending time with her dear friend, C.A. Mitts. Her family wishes to thank Texas Health Harris Methodist-Fort Worth and its staff for the exemplary medical and emotional care delivered during this time of need. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Bobbie Megarity; her brother, Dr. Andrew Megarity; and sister and brother-in-law, Carol Megarity Cody and Bill. Survivors: In addition to her children, Lesa Oswalt. Mark H. Burner and his wife, Jill, and Todd Burner, Ann was grandmother to Clay Burner, Brett Burner, William Oswalt Jr. and Patrick Oswalt; niece, Colleen Megarity Balance; nephews and their wives, Dylan and Cassie Megarity, Dan and Zelia Megarity and Sean and Jennifer Cody; and their families.
