Ruth Weatherbee Level -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruth Weatherbee Level FORT WORTH -- Ruth Weatherbee Level, a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to all, died peacefully Saturday evening, April 5, 2014. Mrs. Level was 92 years old. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3621 Tulsa Way. Family and friends will gather in the church's Fellowship Hall immediately after the memorial service. She will be laid to rest privately with her husband in Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church, in her memory, is suggested. Born Feb. 16, 1922, on the family farm in Bosque County, Ruth was the daughter of Richard P. and Olga Olson Weatherbee. She was a graduate of Clifton College in Clifton. Ruth worked alongside her husband, Newel, as they owned and operated Level's Food centers for more than 40 years. She was a wonderful homemaker, making everyone feel welcome in her home with her warm smile and sparkling blue eyes. She and Newel were married for 59 years and enjoyed traveling in their motorhome with friends before his passing in 2005. Ruth was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Worth and for many years was a board member of Lutheran Sunset Ministries in Clifton. Her family wishes to express a special thank-you to all the staff at Broadway Plaza at Westover Hills for their love and care these past few years. And to Bridgeway Healthcare Services, they express their appreciation for the care and kindnesses shown, especially her nurse, Dee, for her kind comfort during Ruth's final days. Survivors: In addition to her sons and their wives, James F. and Penny Level and R. Craig and Cindy Level, all of Fort Worth, Ruth is survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Arroyo and John of Azle, Paige Gasowski and John of Aledo, Chris and Ginda Level of Lubbock, and Cameron Level of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Tim and Tyler Arroyo, Anna and Alekzander Gasowski, and Hollin and Luke Level; sister, Marge Weatherbee Wigstone of Arlington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.
