FORT WORTH -- Ronald James Lawson died early Sunday morning, March 24, 2013, during his 70th year, at home surrounded by family. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the grave in Baggett Creek Cemetery, Comanche County. Visitation: Family and friends will gather 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. Born in Brownwood on Feb. 25, 1943, Ron was the son of Price James and Martha Jane Lynch Lawson. After moving to Fort Worth in 1947, he graduated from Arlington Heights High School and attended Texas Christian University. Ron enjoyed playing golf and held a black belt in judo, a sport he taught as well. But most of all, he was a family man and took every opportunity to learn and teach. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors: In addition to his loving mother, Ron is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Sue Moore Lawson; children, Wendy Michelle Wiedenhoff and Bill, Russell Sterling Lawson, Victoria Jane Dimas and Juan, and Samantha Ruth Lawson; grandchildren, Michael Jon and Megan Jane Wiedenhoff and Sophia Isabel Dimas; sister, Margaret Judy Barentine and Buddy; brother-in-law, Eugene Victor Moore Jr.; and their families.
