Mr. ROBERT EARL MAHAFFEY

FORT WORTH -- Robert E. Mahaffey passed away peacefully Monday morning, Dec. 28, 2015. Mr. Mahaffey was 87 years old. Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Friday in the Elizabeth Cramer Memorial Chapel at Arborlawn United Methodist Church, 5001 Briarhaven Road, with the Rev. Ben Disney, senior pastor, officiating. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, in his memory, is suggested. Born Jan. 4, 1928, Bob was raised in Wichita Falls. He was a 1948 chemical engineering graduate from Texas Tech. Bob worked as an executive with Amoco Production Company, now BP, as manager of North Onshore Construction until his retirement in 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 62 years, Callie Deaton Mahaffey; and brother, Bill Mahaffey. Survivors: In addition to his sons and their wives, Scott and Kathi Mahaffey and Steve and Sherry Mahaffey, Bob is survived by his grandchildren, Melissa Mahaffey Tucker and her husband, Wynn, Chris Mahaffey, Clay Mahaffey, Jack Mahaffey and Annie Mahaffey; and great-grandson, Franklin Tucker.
