Saginaw, Texas – Robert Bruce “Bob” Collins, 78, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, January 2.
Family and friends will gather from 3 to 4 pm Friday, January 17, in the Chapel at Lucas & Harper, formerly ROBERTSON MUELLER HARPER, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 4 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am Saturday, January 18, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 5508 Black Oak Lane, River Oaks. A Service at the Grave will be held at 11 am Monday, January 20, in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Born in New Haven and raised in East Haven, Connecticut, Bob was the son of Joseph Francis and Dorothy Irene Franklin Collins.
Following high school, he served in the U. S. Air Force and retired as a Crew Chief for American Airlines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Christy, and his son, Robert Jr.
In addition to his wife, Patricia Ann Bullard Collins, Bob is survived by his daughter, Amy Christine Harris and her husband, Fred; son, Keith Andrew Collins and his wife, Tammy; grandchildren, John Joseph Collins and Fred Dakota Harris and Christy Nicole and Dylan Avery Collins; great-grandchildren, Adrian, Aiden, Aurora, Emmy and Hank;
brothers and their wives, Jim Collins and Barbara, and Steve Collins and Michelle; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
