FORT WORTH -- Robert Cary "Bob" Carson II, a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Jan. 13, 2013, during his 75th year. Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday in the sanctuary at Broadway Baptist Church, 305 W. Broadway Ave. Later in the day, Bob will be laid to rest in the Electra Cemetery, Electra. Visitation: Family and friends will gather from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to a charity of one's choice, in his memory, is suggested. Born in Fort Worth on Oct. 10, 1937, Bob was the son of Robert Cary and Opal Miller Carson. He grew up in Fort Worth and was an Eagle Scout. Bob graduated from Arlington Heights High School and the University of New Mexico. He married the love of his life, Judith Ann Reynolds on Aug. 3, 1963. Among the organizations he was proud to be a member of were Broadway Baptist Church, where he was a lifetime member, Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, the Rotary Club of Fort Worth and the Petroleum Club of Fort Worth. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served on the Salvation Army board and was a member of the Broadway Bapist Church usher's committee. His career led him to become Director of Wholesale Agri-Marketing at the Burly Corporation of North America, which led him to meet many of his most special friends. He was a loyal fan of the TCU Horned Frogs, any team his grandhcildren played for and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Judy, Bob is survived by his children, Cari Carson DuBose and her husband, Kevin, and Christopher Reynolds "Chris" Carson and his wife, Kelly; grandchildren, Parker Reynolds DuBose, Caroline Harper DuBose and Christopher Mills "Topher" Carson; sister, Jane Carson Killebrew and her husband, John; and nieces and nephews and their families.
