Robert Warner Bundick, 88, passed away on December 2, 2015 at 6:52 PM at Heartland NRH Skilled Nursing Facility, North Richland Hills, Texas. He was born on September 23, 1927 in Ranger, Texas to Richard Otto Bundick and Mary Florence Lewis Bundick. Robert grew up in Ranger, Texas and graduated from Ranger High School in 1945. The same day he graduated H.S, he immediately joined the US Navy and served on the YMS-170 minesweeper. After his discharge, he attended Ranger Junior College. He began his career with livestock, working for C.P. Cloud of Lampasas trading wool and mohair, which then led him to a fulfilling and rewarding career as a livestock auctioneer. Robert also enjoyed trading in agricultural commodities. He was a voracious reader, and especially enjoyed philosophical and spiritual writings. Robert was a practiced positive thinker, so much so that his nickname at St Francis Village where he lived his last 18 years was “Perfect” – his customary response when asked how he was doing. Robert is survived by his daughter Betty Jean Bundick-Anderson, by his sister Peggy Jean Hodges, his stepson Michael Penn Smith, and one grandson Robert Cody Anderson, as well as his former spouse Dorothy Penn Bundick. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America
