Born in Dallas on April 12, 1952, Becky was the daughter of Carrol Marvin and Doris Gene Hoel Schulz. Having a passion for God's blessings, Becky loved most her husband, Trey, and daughter and son, Hilary and Nick. They were her shining stars. She also cherished the bond of love and support from Cindy, her "big sis," throughout her entire life. Celebrating holidays and spending time with family and friends brought her great joy. Close to her heart were memories of "laugh until we cry" moments with the Ya-Yas and other close friends, weeks at the beach and weekends of OU football. Becky had an enthusiasm for Fort Worth community life. She served as president and board member of the Tarrant County Auxiliary of the Gladney Center and as chairman of the Fort Worth Community Calendar. She also served on the boards of the Fort Worth Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma, the Junior League of Fort Worth and the Junior Woman's Club of Fort Worth. She was a longtime devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served on the church's council. After graduating from Eastern Hills High School, she attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a B.A. degree in journalism. While at OU, Becky served as president of the Beta Theta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Following her presidency, the chapter received the Standards Award, one of the highest awards presented at the sorority's national convention. During her senior year, she was named as one of the Top Ten Greek Women and a Big Woman on Campus at OU. Her career highlights included the Sanger-Harris buying program and store management in Dallas and Fort Worth, and NationsBank (presently Bank of America) Tarrant County and statewide marketing management. While with the bank, Becky received the NationsBank LEND Award, a national award given for leadership excellence in neighborhood development. She concluded her career at the Fort Worth Independent School District as coordinator of the Parent and Public Engagement/Adopt-A-School program and coordinator to the chief of district operations. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Katie Harper Lasater; fathers-in-law, E.C. Harper Jr. and George H. Lasater; aunts and uncles; and cousins. Survivors: In addition to her husband and children, E.C. "Trey" Harper III, Hilary Ann Harper and Nicholas Ryan Harper, she is survived by her sister, Cindy Schulz Killingsworth and her husband, Joe, of Frisco; sisters-in-law, Harriett Harper DuBose of Fort Worth, Pam Harper Moore and her husband, Mike, of Trumbull, Conn., and Debbie Harper Feld and her husband, Eddie, of Fort Worth; her nieces and nephews and their families; cousins and countless friends.
