Fort Worth, Texas -- Rebecca Ann Irwin Granger, beloved wife of Hank Granger, passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She was 74. Becky was born in Charleston, SC, on February 11, 1947. After graduating from high school in South Carolina she eventually moved to Texas to join American Airlines. She attended TCCC and earned her Associates Degree while working for American. As an international flight attendant, Becky visited many places she had always wanted to go. In her spare time Becky also earned licenses as a massage therapist and an aesthetician. She retired from American after 36 years. In 1979, Becky met the love of her life, Hank, and married him two years later. The couple enjoyed a devoted marriage for 40 years. They lived for many years in Arlington, TX, then moved to Southern Pines, North Carolina to be closer to Becky’s mother. In 2015 the couple moved back to Fort Worth. She will be greatly missed by all of the close friends she had made through the years across the country. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dennis. In addition to her loving husband Hank, Becky is survived by her sister-in-law, Sharon Granger Hoyle, and her son, Michael, and his family. After cremation, a memorial gathering will be planned at a later date. Consideration of contributions to the Humane Society Of North Texas, in her memory, is suggested.
