FORT WORTH -- Nathan Harry "Nate" Berman died early Sunday morning, Dec. 2, 2012, during his 66th year, following injuries from a motorcycle accident. Service: 11 a.m. Monday in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery with Rabbi Andrew Bloom and Cantor Shoshana Abrams officiating. He will receive masonic services under the auspices of Polytechnic Lodge 925 A.F. & A.M. A native of Minnesota, Nate was born July 30, 1946, the son of Sydney and Harriet Berman. He married Arlene Sonkin on Nov. 29, 1975, and recently celebrated their 37th anniversary. Nate was the retired owner of Artistic Designs, a Fort Worth jewelry company. He was a member of Congregation Ahavath Sholom and the B'nai B'rith. As a Mason, he was former worshipful master of South Hills Lodge 1389; district education officer for the Masonic Lodge of Texas; a member of Moslah Shrine; and a speaker for the Scottish Rite Hospitals for Children. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Nate is survived by his sons and their wives, Daniel and Karen and Jaron and Julie; and grandchildren, Savannah, Alivia, Cody, Misty, Austin, Allison, Ross, Sarah, Samantha and Myles.
