Memorials: May be made to Trinity Valley School, The Fielding Clayton Memorial Award; Chandor Gardens Master Gardener Memorial Garden; Friends of the Weatherford Public Library; or the charity of your choice. Born Dec. 13, 1929, in Atlanta, Ga., Foster was the daughter of Elizabeth and Dr. Jack Walker Jones; she never lost her Georgian accent. Foster married and moved to Texas in 1958 and raised her four children in Fort Worth. She worked at the Kimbell Art Museum for many years where, as registrar, one of her favorite memories was hand carrying Faberge Eggs to Texas for an exhibit. She later moved to Weatherford where she resided for the past 26 years. Throughout her life, Foster was an avid reader, a frequent tennis player, an animal lover, and a continuous gardener, achieving her Master Gardener certification. She spent countless hours volunteering with the Fort Worth Nature Center, the Master Gardeners and serving on the board of the Friends of the Weatherford Public Library. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, a dear friend, and a dedicated volunteer, who will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by an infant son; her daughter, Fielding; and her sister, Elizabeth Langmuir. Survivors: In addition to her children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Hank Stringer, Jack and Patricia Clayton, and Margaret and Clint Shouse, Foster is survived by her grandchildren, Ryman and Jack Stringer, Sara and Adam Clayton, and Clay and Mary Shouse; her twin sister, Rennie Davant; and two nieces and their families.
