FORT WORTH -- Michael Scott Augustat, a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, slipped into eternal peace Sunday morning, July 29, 2012, during his 42nd year. Service: A celebration of Mike's life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, 800 W. Fifth St., the Rev. Dr. William M. Longsworth and the Rev. Linda McDermott officiating. A reception will follow in the church's Wesley Hall immediately after the service. Visitation: Family and friends will gather from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the First Street Methodist Mission at First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, 800 W. Fifth St., Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Born Oct. 25, 1969, in San Antonio, Mike was raised in Fort Worth and later settled down to raise a family in Huntington Beach, Calif. He was full of life and lived to make every day special for those around him. Mike "never met a stranger" and was always selflessly giving to those who were in need. He will be deeply missed by his family and countless people who knew and loved him. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Jennifer Dyer Augustat, Mike is survived by his three sons; Brando, Kye and Scottish, all of Huntington Beach, Calif.; father, Dr. Edwin Augustat; mother, Margaret Augustat; brother, John Augustat; sister, Allison Augustat, all of Fort Worth; aunt, Sue Miller and her husband, Gary; a loving niece and nephew; extended family; and a myriad of friends.
