FORT WORTH -- Mary Frances Merrick Granger, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 15, 2013, during her 86th year. Service: Following a service at 4 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Memorial Park, Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband, John. Visitation: She will lie in state at Robertson Mueller Harper on Thursday afternoon where family and friends will gather in the Great Room from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to a charity of one's choice, in her memory is suggested. Born in Palestine, Ill., on May 30, 1926, Mary was the daughter of Harold and Bertha Gannon Merrick. She was married to John R. Granger Jr., who died in 2008. Mary was a longtime member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church. She retired as an executive secretary with Freese & Nichols.
