FORT WORTH -- Mary Elizabeth Campbell Brown passed away peacefully, at home, Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2016, with her family at her side. Graveside service: Elizabeth will be laid to rest privately on Saturday in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, with Bryan Barrett, chaplain, officiating. Visitation: Family and friends will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to your favorite church, in her memory, is suggested. Born Aug. 31, 1934, in Tolar, Elizabeth was the daughter of Curtis Lothaine and Mary Loree Fitzhugh Campbell. She was a 1951 graduate of Northside High School in Fort Worth and married George William "Bill" Brown in 1952, after his return from serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Following Bill's discharge, the couple and their family lived in Fort Worth and Arlington. They moved to Kingsville where they lived for 22 years. Elizabeth worked for the Kingsville ISD before retiring and returning to Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant grand-daughter, Stephanie Elizabeth Armstrong. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Bill, Elizabeth is survived by four children; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, with one on the way!
