FORT WORTH – Martha Corbett Morton went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, December 13, 2017. Mrs. Morton was 98. SERVICE: A service at the grave will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Breckenridge Cemetery, Breckenridge. Family and friends will gather from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to a charity of choice, in her memory, is suggested. Born Nov. 30, 1919 in Graham, Martha was the daughter of John Quincy and Clara Lee Remington Corbett. She was raised, one of four children, on the Corbett Ranch. The family moved to Caddo where the children attended school. Martha graduated from Caddo High School and North Texas State Teacher’s College in Denton. She married John Donaldson “Don” Morton on May 13, 1945; the couple lived in Fort Worth. Don preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1985. On July 30, 1994, she married Harvey Thielke who also preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2006. Everyone who knew Martha was blessed beyond measure. She will be truly missed. SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Dr. Gary Morton and his wife, Vicki and their son, Brent Morton and his wife, Berry; Mark and Laura Thielke and their children, Ryan Luke and Tanya of Fort Worth, Sue Thielke of Vero Beach, Florida; nieces, Florence Lee Needham and her family of Fort Worth, Ann McGee and her husband of Phoenix, Arizona, and Nancy Wells and her family of San Antonio; and nephew, Billy Bob Corbett and his family of Arlington.
