Mrs. MARTHA DELSENIA MORRIS RHOME

FORT WORHT -- Martha Morris Rhome passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 15, 2016, in Athens. Mrs. Rhome was 96 years old. Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Chimes, located in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather in the chapel from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum at Laurel Land. Born Aug. 21, 1919, in Henderson, Martha spent most of her life in Fort Worth. She was in civic and community affairs and was a former manager the Better Business Bureau of Fort Worth and Tarrant County and was a member of University Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dan N. Rhome, who died in 2003, and her grandson, Tim Riffe. Survivors: In addition to her children, Dannye Jo Riffe and her husband, Mike, of Athens and Allen Rhome and his wife, Barbara, of Fort Worth, Martha was grandmother of Chris Riffe, Timothy Hampton-Kelly, Brian Rhome, Cindy Forester, Melissa Ross and Jennifer Owston; great-grandmother of 18 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandmother of two.
