FORT WORTH -- Mark Alan Zwerling, a proud disabled veteran, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 28, 2012, during his 67th year. Service: 11 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with military honors. Rabbi Sidney Zimelman will offer religious prayers. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the City of Fort Worth, Animal Shelter Treatment Ward Project, 818 Missouri Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76104, in his memory, is suggested. A native of Chicago, Ill., Mark was born Dec. 14, 1944, the son of Nate and Dorothy Baum Zwerling. He served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army, 2/7 1st Cavalry. Mark moved to Fort Worth in 1998 and married Donna on March 1, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Donna, Mark is survived by his children, Michelle Alyce Zwerling, Ricki Ewing, Kelley Bridges and Nicole Bridges; grandchildren, Dravon, Dusty, Jason, Roxanne and Elijah; and mother-in-law, Freda Taylor.
