FORT WORTH -- Ann Morphew Cocanower passed away peacefully Friday morning, June 10, 2016. Mrs. Cocanower was 89. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel at Trinity Terrace, 1600 Texas St. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to University Little League, in her memory, is suggested. Born Dec. 19, 1926, in St. Louis, Okla., Ann was the daughter of Sylvie and Masie Rush Morphew. She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Alphi Phi sorority. Ann married R. D. Cocanower and lived across Texas while Bob worked for the Western Company. In Fort Worth, she was a member of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth, Twitch and Stitch, the Bridge Club and active at Colonial Country Club. Ann was loved dearly by her family and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, who died in 1991; son, R.D. "Bob" Cocanower Jr., who died in 2010; sisters and their husbands, Rosemary and Jim Acree and Jane and Wayne Mayfield. Survivors: In addition to her son, Steve, Ann is survived by her daughter-in-law, Raye Ann Cocanower; grandsons, Rob and his wife, Holly, Brett and his wife, Ashley, Mike, Jon and Chase; and great-grandsons, Charlie, Zac and Bob.
