FORT WORTH -- Marion Taylor-Badey passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday morning, Feb. 3, 2016. Mrs. Taylor-Badey was 87 years old. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday in the sanctuary of University Christian Church, 2720 S. University Drive. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. Born in Fort Worth on Feb. 24, 1928, Marion was the daughter of Rice and Julia Bolliger Jones. She graduated from Central High School, now R.L. Paschal. In 1947, Marion married Bill Taylor; together they started Taylor Appliance in 1950. She also ran clothing stores, Belinda's Clothes Closet, with her daughter. Marion loved to travel, which she did extensively. She also enjoyed gardening and belonged to several botanical organizations including Botanical Research of Texas, the Fort Worth Garden Club, of which she served as president, Garden Club Council of Fort Worth and served as a international flower judge. Her memberships also included the Woman's Club of Fort Worth. Following the death of her husband, Bill, in 1989, she married Frank W. Badey on March, 24, 1995. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Frank W. Badey, Marion is survived by her children, Mark D. Taylor and Belinda Taylor Rogers and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Hilary Shellhorse and her husband, Brent, Trent D. Taylor and Traci Rae Ellinwood and her husband, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Holden and Hutton Shellhorse and Evelyn, Nora and Neal Ellinwood; extended family, Debbie Badey Athan and her husband, James, and their children, Bianca and Zoey; and cousin, Juanita Cowart.
