FORT WORTH -- Marilyn Alexander Muncy, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2013, during her 82nd year. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday at Ridglea Christian Church, 6720 W. Elizabeth Lane, with the Rev. Rob Morris, pastor of the church, officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest privately next to her husband, Robert, in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received in the church's Fellowship Hall immediately after the service. Marilyn, a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, was born Aug. 7, 1930, the daughter of Edwin A. and Helen Emily Alexander. She was a graduate of Arlington Heights High School. Marilyn married James Robert Muncy on Nov. 6, 1948; they remained a happy couple for 52 years before Mr. Muncy's death in 2000. She worked in the banking industry for 32 years. As well as being a charter member of Ridglea Christian Church, Marilyn was a proud member of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth and Altrusa. Marilyn loved and was devoted to the TCU Horned Frogs football and Texas Rangers baseball teams. Survivors: In addition to her daughter, Emily Muncy Rice and her husband, George, of Katy, Marilyn is survived by her sons, James Robert Muncy II and John Edwin "Eddie" Muncy; grandchildren, Todd Rice and Dory, Molly Rice Mauldin and Mike, Lisa Muncy Kamp and Grady and Samantha and Hannah Muncy; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Raleigh Rice, Makenzie Mauldin, Addison, Avery, Ella and Ashton Kamp and Hailey Muncy; sister, Ruby Ann Alexander Broyles; nephew, Milton A.
