LINDA SUSAN DASHNER COHN

February 23, 1950 — September 9, 2024

Fort Worth

Fort Worth, Texas - Linda Dashner Cohn, born in Fort Worth, the daughter of Curtis and Frances Patterson Dashner, lived a life that was nothing short of extraordinary. A graduate of Poly High School Class of 1968 where she was Majorette and attended Texas Christian University, Linda's early years were marked by grace and ambition, exemplified by her being crowned Miss Yellow Rose of Texas.

Her journey took a magical turn at a Peter Frampton concert, where she met the love of her life, Mack Cohn, who was organizing the event. What followed was a true love story for the ages—one defined by unwavering devotion and a bond that grew stronger with every passing day. Together, they created a life filled with laughter, music, and an unbreakable partnership that was the envy of all who knew them.

Linda's zest for life was unparalleled. She embraced every moment with a spirit that was both fierce and full of joy. Whether it was attending rock and roll concerts, throwing unforgettable parties, or embarking on spontaneous trips, Linda was always at the center of the action, making memories that those around her would cherish forever. Her motto, "She loved life, and life loved her," was a reflection of her magnetic personality and her desire to make every day special.

Her greatest pride and joy, however, was her daughter, Jennifer Cohn. The bond between Linda and Jennifer was unshakeable—truly thick as thieves. Linda's love for her daughter knew no bounds, and together they shared countless adventures, laughter, and a deep connection that was the very essence of Linda's life.

Linda's presence was larger than life, and she had an incredible ability to make those around her feel special and loved. She never did anything halfway—everything was done to the nines, with a style and flair that were uniquely her own. Her smile could light up a room, and her infectious energy was a beacon of happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Cohn, and sister, Beverly Cardoza, and was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Stuart Cohn, and her parents, Frances and Curtis Dashner.

A Service at the Grave will be held at 11 am Wednesday, September 18, in the Beth-El Section of Greenwood Memorial Park, with a reception to follow.
