FORT WORTH -- Leslie Kaitcer, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died peacefully Friday evening, Sept. 5, 2014, eight days before his 90th birthday. Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Beth-El Congregation, 4900 Briarhaven Road, with Rabbi Ralph Mecklenburger officiating. Interment will follow in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery with Rabbi Andrew Bloom officiating. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to Beth-El Congregation or Congregation Ahavath Sholom, in his memory, is suggested. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Leslie was born Sept. 13, 1924, the son of Jacob and Faye Goodman Kaitcer. He married Mona Taylor in 1950 and moved to Borger in the Texas Panhandle. In 1985, the family moved to Fort Worth where Leslie was a member of Congregation Ahavath Sholom and Beth-El Congregation. He was an avid bridge player who enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends and his grandchildren. Mr. Kaitcer was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mona; grandson, Ian; and sisters, Lorna Twiddy and Pearl Stein. Survivors: In addition to his sons and their wives, Jeff and Randee, Mike and Elizabeth, and Steve and Lisa, Leslie is survived by his grandchildren, Alison, Rachel, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Kate, Andrew and Lindsay; sister, Cecily Renov of Los Angeles, Calif.; and nieces and nephews and their families.
