FORT WORTH -- Josephine Rose Ferla Cimma passed away peacefully Saturday evening, Nov. 21, 2015. Mrs. Cimma was 93 years old. Memorial service: A celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to The Arc of North Carolina, 343 E. Six Forks Rd. #320, Raleigh, N.C., 27609, in her memory, is suggested. Born March 27, 1922, in West Hartford, Conn., Rose was the daughter of Sebastiano and Sebastiana DiPietro Ferla. She graduated from high school in Medford, Mass., before meeting and marrying her husband, Dino Cimma. Over the next 30 years they lived in New Jersey where Rose raised three daughters, and traveled extensively with Dino. Rose and Dino resided in Greensboro, N.C., for 40 years before moving to Fort Worth. Rose, an excellent cook, loved entertaining and preparing traditional family dinners on Sunday. She was an accomplished seamstress and was known for her sense of fashion and style. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 67 years and four siblings. Survivors: In addition to her daughter, Claudia A. Cimma and her husband, Robert McKenney, of Fort Worth, Rose is survived by her daughters, Lora Rose Cimma and her fiance, Cabot Goudy, of Fairfax, Va., and Diana Cimma of Greensboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Jason McKenney and his wife, Feven, Brian McKenney, Alex Fletcher and his wife, Joelle Harvey, Dina McKenney and Caitlin Fletcher; great-grandchildren, Henry and Siena McKenney; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
