FORT WORTH -- Joseph McClellan Harvey died Saturday afternoon, June 29, 2013, during his 87th year. Service: A memorial service will be held in his boyhood home, Winona, Miss. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances, consideration of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association of Fort Worth, 2630 West Fwy., Fort Worth, Texas 76102, in his memory, is suggested. Joe moved from Hot Springs Village, Ark., to Fort Worth after the death of Charley, his first wife. He was a member of Arborlawn Methodist Church, loved big band music and dancing, and was an engineer who could fix anything. He was a jokester; his smile and the twinkle in his eye will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ezilda Harvey; his wife of 58 years, Charley Sample Harvey; wife of two years, Gaye Brown Harvey; and five brothers, Clarence Jr., Nicholas, Robert, James and Malcolm. Survivors: In addition to his daughters, Deborah Deas and her husband, Thomas, JoAnne Woodcock and her husband, Milton "Buzz," Barbara Westmoreland and her husband, Barton, Joe is survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
