FORT WORTH -- Helen Renshaw Chatham passed away Tuesday morning, April 26, 2016. Mrs. Chatham was 90 years old. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper. Family and friends will gather from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest privately in Greenwood Memorial Park. Honorary bearers will be Stephen Bost, Don Magee, Marc Stevens and Jim, John and Jack Sissen. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, M.D. Anderson, or a charity of choice, in her memory, is suggested. Helen graduated from R.L. Paschal High School and attended Brantley Draughon Business College. She began a successful career as an executive assistant at Mid-Centennial Supply later, working in the motor industry and finance. Helen married Rufus McNairy Chatham in 1950. They traveled the world through his business career, living in Ontario, Montreal, Quebec, New Zealand and Australia. Her fondest memories were of the times she and Rufus traveled through Mexico in an MG convertible. An avid golfer, Helen was a longtime member of Ridglea Country Club. She enjoyed golfing and was extremely competitive, loving to win at a great game. She also enjoyed traveling, art, dancing, music and was a voracious reader. The family would like to thank Tatiana Contreras, VITAS Hospice, Dr. Jerry Barker and staff of Texas Oncology, and all the loving caregivers that assisted Helen over the years. Her family and friends are grieving her loss. Survivors: Helen is survived by family members, Sharon Evans Bost, Stephen Bost, Shawn Evans Magee, Kimberly Evans Sissen; and loving friends, Sherry and Marc Stevens.
