Mrs. HARRIET RUTH ARENS SMITH

FORT WORTH -- Harriet Bonita Smith, known by her loved ones as "Bonnie" or "Bamba," passed away peacefully Friday, April 11, 2014, at her Fort Worth residence after blessing us for a magnificent 107 years. "What a life!" Memorials: Consideration of contributions to a charity or church, honoring her memory, is suggested. Bamba was a remarkable Christian lady who was known for her indomitable spirit, warmth, compassion and a true giving heart. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Fred B. "Pop" Smith. Survivors: In addition to her only son and daughter-in-law, George Frederick and Vi Smith, she was Bamba to her grandchildren, Rick Smith, Connie Smith and Stephen Smith; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Smith and Lauren Smith.
