FOREST HILL -- George Ann Cravens Powell passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, Jan. 19, 2016. Mrs. Powell was 73 years old. Service: 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper. Family and friends will gather 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Great Room at the funeral home. George Ann's wishes were for cremation; her cremated remains will be placed with those of John's in the family plot in Eastland. Born Aug. 3, 1942, in Wichita Falls, George Ann was the daughter of Van Earl and Emma Mae Percifield Cravens. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School and Texas Woman's University in Denton. George the Ann was an accountant with Arlington Federal Credit Union and owned Wild Flowers Antiques. She was a member of NW Heisey Collectors Study Club #22 and the Tarrant County Antique Dealers Association and was a volunteer for the Returning Veterans Project through American Airlines. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, John, who died in 2008. Survivors: In addition to her children, Edward and Katie Powell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Elizabeth "Missy" and John Dillard of Alvarado, she is survived by her grandchildren, Emma, William and Ciara Powell and John Dillard and Amanda and George Dishner.
