FORT WORTH -- Florine Green Lane, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at a local care center, surrounded by her family. Funeral: was held Monday for family members. Memorials: Donations would be appreciated to the Pancreatic Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. A bright and funny girl, Florine graduated as valedictorian of Forest Avenue High School in Dallas. After completing her degree at SMU, she worked at a local doctor's office as a medical technologist and met her future husband, Sidney H. Lane. They were inseparable and enjoyed almost 64 years of marriage. When Sidney died in 2012, no one thought Florine would live a day without him. She was stronger than anyone imagined. She lived to meet her third great-grandchild, born in 2013. Florine was preceded in death by her parents, Freda and Jacob Green; sister, Betty Blotcky, all of Dallas; and her beloved husband, Sidney. Survivors: Daughter, Lisa Neuman and husband, Sam; son, Dr. Randy Lane and wife, Zelda, of Dallas; grandchildren, Jeffrey Neuman and wife, Kim, of Round Rock, Lindsay Cobert and husband, Michael, of McKinney, Danny Lane and Michael Lane of Dallas, Ally Blaskovich and husband, Mick, of Chicago; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Cooper and Bennett Neuman of Round Rock, whom she all loved dearly.
