Fort Worth, Texas – Elzie Joseph Wilson passed away peacefully at the home of his son, Saturday morning, April 15. Mr. Wilson was 87.
Family and friends will gather from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, April 20, in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11 am Friday in the Chapel at the funeral home. Following the celebration, he will be laid to rest in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Growing up in Cross Plains, Elzie was the son of Fred and Mildred Sullens Wilson. He was a 66-year member of IBEW, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and owned and operated Gallman – Wilson Electric. An avid outdoorsman, Elzie would stay on the lake fishing from dawn ‘til dusk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Evelyn, who died in 2014, daughter, Terri, who died in 2015, and his great-granddaughter, Lorelai Caviness.
In addition to his sons, Greg and his wife, Lisa, and Mike, Elzie is survived by his grandchildren, Kyle Wilson and Nikki Caviness and her husband, Brandon; and great-grandchildren, Bryden and Harper.
