Fort Worth, Texas - Elizabeth Ann Pitman Webb, a dedicated and loving daughter, sister, nurse, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Monday evening, December 12. She was 83.
Family and friends will gather from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, December 20, in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, December 21, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 3601 Altamesa Blvd., with The Rev. Fr. Karl Schilken, JCL, celebrant. Following committal prayers, she will be laid to rest in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Born in De Smet, South Dakota, Betty was the oldest of eight children of John and Hazel Pitman. She attended St. Agatha High School in Howard, SD, where she graduated as salutatorian in 1957. She received her RN degree from St. John’s School of Nursing in Huron, SD, Class of 1960. After graduating from nursing school, Betty went to work at Greeley General Hospital in Greeley, Colorado. In 1966, she moved to Fort Worth to take a position as Assistant Head Nurse at All Saints Episcopal Hospital.
Betty met her husband, Joe Bert Webb, in the late 1960’s’ they were married on April 8, 1972 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Worth. She and Bert had three children that she raised and cared for dearly. Betty worked at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital in Fort Worth in the early 90’s.
In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her children, John Joseph Webb and Kelli, Judith Kay Blanchette and Todd, and Mark Robert Webb; four grandchildren, Camryn Elizabeth Thompson, daughter of Judith, Dylan Elizabeth Webb and Hayden Mae Webb, daughters of John, and Conor James Blanchette, son of Judith; brothers, John Pitman and Dennis Pitman; sisters, Mitzi Boulais, Diane Knouse, Janice Glanzer, JoAnn Andrisen and LaVonne Bohn; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
