Dwight Alan Cathey GRAFORD -- Dwight Alan Cathey, beloved husband, father, granddad and friend, passed away Friday afternoon, Aug. 14, 2015. Mr. Cathey was 70 years old. Service: A memorial celebration honoring Dwight's life will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at the Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce, 362 N. FM 2353, Graford, 76449. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Mineral Wells Animal Shelter with checks made to Sue Cathey for the Dwight Cathey Memorial for Mineral Wells Animal Shelter, care of Community National Bank & Trust of Texas at Possum Kingdom, 1404 Park Road 36, Graford, Texas 76449, 940-779-4061. Born and raised in Iowa Park, Dwight graduated from Iowa Park High School and attended the University of North Texas where he met Sue, his lovely bride of 46 years. An unabashed lover of animals, Dwight enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and pets at Possum Kingdom Lake. His sense of humor, wit, and good heart made him a truly amazing man who was loved by all. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Sue, Dwight is survived by his son, Adam; daughter-in-law, Cassie; granddaughter, Carter; grandson, Jack; dogs, Lucy, Sugar, Lilly and Mimi; cats Darlin' and KittyKitty; and many extended family members and friends.
