Mrs. DOROTHY RUTH ZEFF IMBER

FORT WORTH -- Dorothy Ruth Zeff Imber, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Feb. 27, 2014. Mrs. Imber was 92 years old. Service: 11 a.m. Friday in the Rashti Chapel at Congregation Ahavath Sholom, 4050 S. Hulen Street, with Rabbi Andrew Bloom officiating. Interment will follow in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to Congregation Ahavath Sholom or a charity of choice, in her memory, is suggested. A life-long resident of Fort Worth, Dorothy was born April 13, 1921, the daughter of Meyer Louis and Sarah Edenbaum Zeff. She was married to Nathan Imber for 67 years before his death in 2008. Dorothy was a partner in the family businesses with both her husband and son. She was a wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren and loved sports and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nathan, granddaughter, Deborah Ferstenfeld Mark, and sister, Elizabeth Rubin. Survivors: In addition to her children, Karen Ferstenfeld and her husband, Leonard, Marlene Battle and her husband, Jon, and Steve Imber and his wife, Jill, Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Ferstenfeld, Carolyn Battle Cohen and her husband, David, Jared Imber and Deborah's husband, Jeff Mark; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Emily Mark; and sister, Adelene Myers; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
