DOROTHY BEARD

FORT WORTH -- Dottie Ball Beard passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, Feb. 7, 2013, early in her 90th year. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Leonard Chapel at the First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, 800 W. Fifth Street, with the Rev. Dr. William M. Longsworth officiating. Family and friends will gather in the church's Wesley Hall immediately after the service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, her family suggests consideration of contributions to a charity of one's choice, in her memory. A devout Christian, Dottie most enjoyed spending time with her family, entertaining friends, cooking Sunday lunch for her family, traveling the world and volunteering at Harris Methodist Hospital-Fort Worth. She was a gem! Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Munger and Kate Ball and her brother, Leslie Ball, all of Port Arthur. Survivors: In addition to her sons and their wives, Bruce and Sharon of Justin, and Tom and Tina of Whidbey Island, Wash., Dottie is survived by five grandchildren, Jennifer Beard, Jessica and Steve Cung, Matt and Tristan Beard, Aaron Beard adn Mariah Beard; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron and Colby Cung and Kylie Beard.
