FORT WORTH -- Dolores Ruth Finkelstein Schneider passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, Nov. 12, 2015, after a very lengthy battle with breast cancer. Mrs. Schneider was 69 years old. Service: 2 p.m. Sunday in the Barnett Sanctuary at Congregation Ahavath Sholom, 4050 S. Hulen St. Following committal prayers, she will be laid to rest in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Shiva and minyan will be held at the Schneider residence beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the Schneider Memorial Trust, 6616 River Bend Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76132, in her memory, is suggested. Dolores was so very loved by her family and friends. She was a very active member of Temple Beth Shalom in Arlington. A breast cancer research advocate, she participated in many Komen Race for the Cure events as well as educating and consoling other women with breast cancer. She will be remembered for her fighting spirit, her positive outlook on life, her love of family and the joy she felt when she gave of herself. Survivors: In addition to her husband of 48 years, Barry, Dolores is survived by her children, Myla Schneider Lind and her husband, Gary, of Atlanta, Ga., and Eric Schneider of Seattle, Wash.; and her grandsons, Eli Aaron and Coby Samuel Lind.
