Fort Worth, Texas – Delores Marie Cain Tackett passed away early Saturday morning, February 11.
Family and friends will gather from 2 to 4 pm Saturday, March 4, for a casual visitation in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper.
Delores lived all but four years of her life in Fort Worth she was one of those “Good ol’ Poly Girls.” While at Poly High School, she was a flag twirler with the band while making straight A's.
She raised three beautiful children which she loved with all her heart, Gaylynn, Shellie and Doug. There are six grandchildren that she smothered with hugs and kisses. She took a job at John Peter Smith Hospital where she worked her way up to the director of volunteers which was 150 strong.
Delores loved decorating; all families received the benefit of her talents. While on vacation with the Olson’s she and Cindy would decorate the rooms. She and her three friends would dine out, laugh and then settle in for some serious bridge. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband, Ron, Delores is survived by her children, Gaylynn Magers and Shellie Johnson and her husband, Jim Lott, and Doug Tackett and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Grant Magers and his wife, Michelle, Austin Magers, Ryan Johnson, Blakeley Johnson, Brady Tackett, Caleb Tackett; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Hensley and her family.
