PLANO -- Deborah Ann Ferstenfeld Mark passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 14, 2013, unexpectedly in Philadelphia, Pa., after a nearly two-year battle with metastatic ocular melanoma.        Service: 2 p.m. Sunday at Beth-El Congregation, 4900 Briarhaven Road, with Rabbi Ralph Mecklenburger officiating. Following committal prayers, she will be laid to rest in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Shiva will be held at the home of Steve and Jill Imber with minyan service beginning at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation, CURE Ocular Melanoma Initiative, www.melanoma.org/learn-more/types-of-melanoma/cure-ocular-melanoma. A trust has been set up for her children for their ongoing educational, day care, and financial support at any Wells Fargo branch under the Deborah Ann Mark Children's Trust.        Born in Columbus, Ind., on May 23, 1974, Deborah was a wonderful wife to her husband, Jeff, and a loving mother to her two young children, Ethan and Emily. Her greatest love was her family. She battled cancer heroically so her children could have their mother for as long as possible.        Deborah's passion was education. A daughter of two teachers, she worked for Literacy Instruction for Texas and Junior Achievement. For the last 10 years, she worked in assistive technology and special education for Plano ISD.        Survivors: In addition to her husband, Jeff, Deborah is survived by her children, Ethan and Emily; parents, Leonard and Karen Ferstenfeld of Fort Worth; brother, Michael Ferstenfeld of Austin; grandmother, Dorothy Imber of Fort Worth; parents-in-law, Michael and Jeri Mark of Plano; brother-in-law and his wife, Brandon and Donna Mark of Houston; aunts and uncles, Steve and Jill Imber of Fort Worth, Marlene and Jon Battle of Plano, Larry and Marcia Ferstenfeld of Southfield, Mich.; great-aunt, Adelene Myers of Fort Worth; and many cousins and their families.
