Creighton Otis Runyon passed Wednesday afternoon, March 1, 2017, after a short illness. Mr. Runyon was 41. Memorial Service: 4 p.m., Monday at St John's Church, 2401 College Ave., with the Rev. David F. Klein officiating. Family and friends will gather in the church’s Parish Hall immediately following the service. Honorary Bearers will be Nick Fikes, Akemion Jackson, Greg Ditch, Phil Autieri, McKenna Watterson, Ameer Shallwani, Ahmad Anbar and Kyle Wood. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Union Gospel Mission, in his memory, is suggested. Born April 24, 1975 in Escondido, Calif., Creighton worked as Sales Manager at Ewing Auto Group in Fort Worth. He spent his entire life in car sales; there was not a deal that he wasn’t able to close. Creighton was extremely loyal, had a heart as big as Texas, and made an impact on every person he met. He was always the life of the party, making everyone laugh with his jokes and witty sense of humor. He was lovingly called Bud and had special nicknames for all those he loved like “Spare” and “Clown”. His true passion was his wife, family and friends, constantly reminding Amy how precious every moment with her was. Creighton had a lot of ups and downs in his life, but he left it on top of the world loved, and cherished by so many as illustrated by those who reached out. He will leave a huge hole in the hearts of all that knew and loved him. The Force is strong with this one. Thank you to all of our friends, family, St John’s Episcopal Church and all of Creighton’s caretakers at Mansfield Methodist Medical Center. He joins his grandparents, Floyd Landrum and William Otis and Katherine Runyon; uncle, Thomas A. Runyon; and cousin Phillip Runyon. Survivors: In addition to the love of his life, Amy Runyon of Mansfield, he is survived by his adoring daughters, Lexi and Ava Runyon of Gahanna, Ohio; his parents, Sharon Kay Runyon of Lucasville, Ohio and Robert Otis Runyon of Grove City, Ohio; two loving step-sons, Tanner and Tyler Grisham. He also leaves behind his little sister, Julia A. Runyon; grandmother, Mary A Landrum of Lucasville, Ohio; mother-in-law and father in-law, Dorothy and Gerald Gregory of Ft. Worth; sister in-law, Jenny Ruiz and Patrick of Weatherford; nieces and nephews, Abigail Veazey, Avery and Lily Ruiz. Other loved ones include, Aunt Jo-Ellen Garber; uncle Dennis L. Landrum and Charnell; and cousins, Dennis Landrum and Amanda, Crystal A. Kipple and Zach, and Thomas Runyon.
