Fort Worth, Texas - Colleen Hennessy Jackson passed away Saturday afternoon, February 26, at the young age of 63. Family and friends will begin gathering in the Chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper at 12 pm followed by a Celebration of Her Life at 1 pm. Born in Fort Worth, Colleen Marie Hennessy was the daughter of Edward Patrick and Patricia Elizabeth Randle Hennessy. She graduated from OD Wyatt High School before moving on to the University of Texas at Arlington where she earned her degree in social work. Colleen worked for more than 40 years for Southwestern Bell/AT&T, only to retire just this past year. While Colleen was a woman of many talents, arguably her best trait was her enormous heart. She had the most selfless, caring, generous, and beautiful soul and showed that to all she encountered. Colleen had a large extended family, all of whom she would take care of in one way or another. She volunteered for countless hours at Animal Hope, an animal shelter in Fort Worth. She also loved to cook and enjoyed watching musicals, but most of all, she loved making others happy. Her beautiful memory will forever be cherished by anyone’s life she has touched. In addition to her children, Michelle Betscher and her husband, Chris, and Gerad Jackson and his wife, Kylie, Colleen is survived by her grandchildren, Christian and Gaby Betscher and Kinsley and Cohen Jackson. She is also survived by her siblings, Teresa Francis, Timothy Hennessy, and Kathleen Glass; and her partner, Steve West.
