FORT WORTH – Charles Grant Daily joined the Lord at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2017. He was 66. His many friends and extended family are invited to a celebration of Grant’s life at 3 p.m. Sat., July 15, in the Cactus Room, located in the Amon Carter Jr. Exhibit Hall at Will Rogers Memorial Center. (Please use the parking garage off Lancaster Ave.) He will be laid to rest privately in Oakwood Cemetery. Born Oct. 7, 1950 at John Peter Smith Hospital, Grant Daily lived his entire life in Fort Worth - a true native of the city. He started his working career in the family business, Heaslet Concrete Finishing with his grandpa. Grant was able to accomplish one of his dreams of becoming a professional wrestler using the ring name, “The Masked Spoiler.” He moonlighted in the ring threw his early twenties only leaving to work at Will Rogers Coliseum. His career at Will Rogers spanned over three decades where the employees, vendors, police, horsemen and visitors all became his friends and extended family. One of his true enjoyments in life was telling stories of his and his friends adventures. Like his stories, he was always bigger than life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Joseph and Betty Jo Heaslet Daily, as well as his wife for 22 years, Tina Renee Copeland. Survivors: Grant is survived by his children, Charles Grant Daily Jr., and his wife Angie, Roy Lee Daily and his wife, Jennifer, Benjamin Grant Daily and his wife, Lydia, Erin Jacob Copeland and Betty Ruth Berkley; eight grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jeannie Gonner, Becky Stanley, Dan Daily, John Howard Daily, Al Drake, Tonja Via, Tracy Drake and David Drake; and nieces and nephews and their families.
