FORT WORTH -- Carroll Eugene "Gene" Russum did peacefully in the loving arms of his daughters on Monday morning, June 17, 2013, during his 79th year.        At Gene's request, no services will be held.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the American Cancer Society, Texas Hospice or the Humane Society of Tarrant County, in his memory, is suggested.        Born Jan. 6, 1934 in Lockett, Gene was the son of Clinton and Ethel Bradley Russum. He enjoyed spending time with his family, football, fishing and reading his Bible.        Survivors: In addition to his daughters, Connie Birnbaum and her husband, Mark of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Cathy Russum of Fort Worth, Gene is survived by his grandchildren, Brittany, Rachelle and her husband, Ruben, and Stephen and his wife, Kyla; great-grandchildren, Owen ad Eli Birnbaum; sister, Ruby Boman; brother, Aubrey Russum; and many loving family and friends.
