Mr. CARL HARVEY BOWEN

FORT WORTH -- Carl Harvey Bowen passed away Sunday evening, Sept. 29, 2019. Mr. Bowen was 89. Born December 29, 1929 in Saint Jo, Carl was the son of Luke and Susie Harvey Bowen. He was a sharecropper’s son whose heart would always be in the country. After graduating from high school, he joined the U. S. Navy. When his service was completed, he moved to Dallas to work at Rowe Machinery and eventually met his wife, Edna. He retired from Rowe after 42 years of service, as Vice President of Inside Sales. He would retire to his beloved farm. Carl was a loving husband, father and friend. He enjoyed every day of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents: his wife of 47 years, Edna, and nine siblings. He was the last man standing. SURVIVORS: Carl is survived by his loving companion, Onnie Brown; daughter, Karen Bowen; son David Bowen; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families; and many friends.
