Mrs. BETTY LOIS McELROY POLASEK

WILLOW PARK -- Betty Lois McElroy Polasek died peacefully, in her sleep, Thursday morning, July 14, 2016. Mrs. Polasek was 90 years old. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper with a service beginning at 3:15 p.m. She will be laid to rest privately on Monday in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to a charity of choice, in her memory, is suggested. Born March 2, 1926, in Fort Worth, Betty was the first born daughter of James Henry and Myrtle Louise Smith McElroy. She attended Sam Rosen Elementary and J.P. Elder Junior High schools. Betty graduated from North Side High School in 1943 where she was drum major for three years. She received loving religious guidance at the Rosen Heights Baptist Church. Betty had fond memories of her loving friend, Annabeth Jennings Young, from their days as infants through high school and surviving to the present. The family gives special thanks to the many healthcare providers who cared lovingly for Betty over the last several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy Lou McElroy Johnson; and grandson, Randy Kalmoe. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Edward Joe Polasek, whom she married in Weatherford on Nov. 14, 1941, Betty is survived by her children, Edward Joe Polasek Jr. Ronald Lynn Polasek, Laura Ann Polasek Jones and Belinda Lois Polasek Kalmoe; grandchildren, Kris Davis-Jones, Kevin Davis, Nikki Jones, Ron Polasek, Todd Polasek, Tom Polasek, Marwood Polasek, Ryan Polasek, Russell Kalmoe, and Cheryl Kalmoe; and great-grandchildren, Daniel Polasek, Scott Polasek, Zachary Polasek, Alana Polasek, Alyssa Davis, Adeline Jones, Kylin Kalmoe, Kinzley Kalmoe, Christian Conley, Corbyn McMillian, Aeres Polasek, Stefen Polasek, Siena Polasek, Zoe Polasek and Skyler Polasek.
