Mrs. AUDREY DELL KELFER SLOTER

FORT WORTH -- Audrey Dell Kelfer Sloter passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, Oct. 29, 2015. Mrs. Sloter was 79 years old. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Monday at Beth-El Congregation, 4900 Briarhaven Road. Following committal prayers on Sunday, she will be laid to rest in Beth-El Memorial Park in San Antonio. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to Beth-El Congregation or a charity of choice, in her memory is suggested. Born Feb. 28, 1936, in Palestine, Texas, and raised in San Antonio, Audrey was the daughter of Morris and Goldye Kahn Kelfer. She met her husband of nearly 50 years, Ronald Leo Sloter, while he was serving in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. They married Nov. 24, 1962, and lived in San Antonio until 2003 when they moved to Fort Worth to be closer to their children. Audrey was a dedicated wife and proud mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ron, who died in 2012. Survivors: In addition to her sons, Scott Sloter and Marc Sloter and his wife, Jude, of Fort Worth, Audrey is survived by her grandchildren, Mollie Kate, Caroline Emery and Stewart Matthew Sloter; her brother, Marvin Gerald "Jerry" Kelfer and his wife, Roxana, and their children.
