FORT WORTH -- Anna Bell Bailey Reckling went to meet her heavenly Father on Saturday morning, March 26, 2016. Mrs. Reckling was 83 years old. Service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. Born Feb. 18, 1933, in Hedley, Ann was the daughter of Loyd and Cythia Curd Bailey. She graduated from high school in Quail. In Amarillo, she married Geary M. Reckling on Sept. 9, 1955. Ann was employed in bookkeeping positions at West Texas State University in Canyon and First Federal Savings and Loan in Amarillo. Her husband and children had the privilege of her loving and nurturing roles as wife and mother. A follower of Christ, Ann shared her love for God through testimony and song. A musician from an early age, she loved music and captured her listeners through her singing and playing the piano, organ, accordion, and sometimes even the guitar. Prior to moving to a care facility for adults in Arlington, she resided at Horizon Bay in North Richland Hills from 2005 to 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2005; and brother, Raymond Bailey, in 2012. Survivors: Son, Danny Reckling and wife, D'Aun; daughter, Sherry Reckling Alsup and husband, Gary, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Sarah, Dana, Micah and Jeremiah Reckling and M'Kiesha and Kirk Alsup; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
